Guitar Bodies Unfinished or painted, routed and ready for your neck and hardware

A new guitar body is the start of a build or the heart of an upgrade. Ours are solid alder, ash or mahogany, in TL-style and ST-style shapes, routed for the pickups, bridge, controls and neck pocket. Take one unfinished and give it your own paint, stain or oil, or choose a painted body finished in our workshop and go straight to assembly.

From body to guitar

Choose the shape and wood

TL-style or ST-style, then the wood for the weight, look and tone you want. Our guitar body wood guide compares them.

Finish it, or let us

Paint, stain or oil an unfinished body with our guitar finishing products, or choose the painted body.

Add the neck and hardware

Bolt on a neck from our guitar necks, fit the bridge, pickups and electronics, then set it up.

Matching the neck

TL-style bodies take a TL-style bolt-on neck, ST-style bodies an ST-style neck. A custom guitar neck comes in the same black, white, gloss and matt finishes as the painted body.

Questions about guitar bodies

Are the bodies routed?

Yes. Every body is routed for the pickups, the bridge, the controls, the wiring and the neck pocket, so it is ready for your neck and hardware.

Are the screw holes drilled?

Only the neck pocket holes. You drill the bridge, pickguard and control plate holes when you fit your hardware, so any brand of hardware lines up.

Will my neck fit?

Our TL-style and ST-style bodies take standard bolt-on necks of the same style. Each product page gives the neck pocket size: compare it with the heel of your neck before you order.

Unfinished or painted?

Unfinished bodies are sanded and ready for your own paint, stain or oil. The painted body comes grain filled, painted and clear coated in our workshop, in black or white, gloss or matt, ready to assemble.

How long does a painted body take?

About 5 working days in our workshop, then shipping from Hoi An. Unfinished bodies ship from stock.

Can I get another shape?
