Our sword headstock, on a maple and ebony neck
A bolt-on neck with the pointed 6-in-line headstock we designed, sold unfinished or painted and varnished in our workshop.
Headstock: Sword, 6-in-line | Fretboard: Ebony | Frets: 22 | Nut: Bone, fitted
- Our own headstock shape, not a copy
- Unfinished, or finished by us in 9 colours and sheens
- Ebony fretboard, bone nut, double-action truss rod
- Same heel as our TL and ST necks: fits a standard bolt-on pocket
A bolt-on guitar neck in Canadian maple with our own sword headstock: a pointed, 6-in-line shape we drew for our guitars, sharper than the usual pointy headstocks. It has a dense ebony fretboard, 22 frets and a bone nut already fitted, on the same heel as our ST-style necks.
Take it unfinished and finish it your way, or let us do it: clear varnish to keep the maple, or black or white paint on the back and the headstock, each in gloss, satin or matt. The fretboard stays natural ebony.
How It Works
- Choose the finish: unfinished, or clear, black or white in gloss, satin or matt.
- Unfinished necks ship from stock. Finished necks are sanded, painted or varnished and polished in our workshop, about 4 working days more.
- Check your neck pocket against the heel size below.
- Fit the neck, the tuners and the strings, then set the truss rod and the action.

FAQ
Will it fit my guitar?
It has the same heel as our TL and ST necks (105 x 55.5 x 19 mm) for a standard bolt-on neck pocket. Check your pocket against these sizes before ordering.
What is painted on the black and white necks?
The back of the neck and the face of the headstock. The ebony fretboard stays natural, and the whole neck gets the varnish you choose: gloss, satin or matt.
What is the difference between gloss, satin and matt?
Gloss is a high shine, satin a soft low sheen that feels smooth and fast, matt a flat look with no shine at all.
How long does a finished neck take?
About 4 working days in our workshop on top of the usual dispatch time, then shipping from Hoi An.
Can I finish it myself?
Yes: choose Unfinished. Our guitar neck finishing guide explains oil, varnish and paint step by step.
