Shoreline gold metallic guitar lacquer in nitrocellulose, a softer “champagne gold” guitar finish inspired by the 1959 Pontiac and used by Fender from 1960 to 1965. This Fender Shoreline gold nitro delivers an authentic vintage metallic shimmer over your prepared timber.
Usage

Compatibility
Compatible with: nitrocellulose primer, nitrocellulose varnish, grain filler, and polish pastes.
Preparation & Application
- Shake the can vigorously for 2–5 minutes before use.
- Apply thin layers to avoid drips and ensure homogeneous coverage.
- Work in low humidity conditions.
- Spray with a uniform movement from approximately 20 cm distance.
- Wait 12–24 hours between coats.
- Optionally sand slightly between coats.
- Apply a primer and sand to 400 grit before spraying.
Safety
Nitrocellulose is toxic; use protection during finishing (goggles, mask, gloves) and apply outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
