The Iceman bass kit is a DIY mahogany bass kit for building a 4-string instrument inspired by the iconic Iceman shape, pairing a solid mahogany body with a Canadian maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Build Considerations
An ideal beginner bass DIY kit. The mahogany body benefits from at least two coats of grain filler for a smooth finish; the angular contours require careful painting to avoid drips.
Assembly is straightforward: the bolt-on neck has no inclination, alignment is simple, and pre-drilling simplifies screw installation. The bridge is not pre-drilled, so measure the scale length carefully to position it before drilling.
