Finishing tips
- Remove the resonator cone and cover plate before finishing.
- Mask the white binding or wipe oil off it straight away.
- Mahogany is open-pored: the Basecoat Sealer fills it for a smoother satin finish.
- Leave the rosewood fretboard unfinished.
- Apply thin coats of Tru-Oil rubbed in, with light sanding between coats.
